I am in the process of building up one of my ALL TIME favorite bikes, a Mongoose John Tomac Signature Bike, from 1988. I am in need of Tioga Farmer John and Farmer John Cousin tires. Anyone have any or any idea on where I can find a set?

Thanks and I will post pics soon!

classic tyre combo but tyres that old might not have a lot of life left in them. found a similar age specialised hardpack2.2 in my mums shed recently, fogotten it was there, tread was great but sidewalls rotten. try and find a bike shop with some old stock thats been looked after rather than 2nd hand on e-bay. black walled tyres seem to age better than skinwalls.

Ya, good call. I have a friend that works at Tioga so I am trying to see if he can find anything for me. So far NO luck!

I know the feeling. Always looking for nice vintage skin walls. I prefer Specialized. Looking for some ground controls and Stumpjumper tires now.

I might have a farmer John tire but not sure how much life is left in it. PM me if interested.
