seems like a demo issue. my 2012 demo had the exact same thing happening. broke the damper 3 times. dispite that isseu,still miss that little demo.

I really liked the TTX, it felt great. But maybe this was because the VAN RC i had before hadn't seen a service since 3 years lol

They're good shocks, but just get overhyped IMO. There are countless great shocks out there that are much cheaper than the TTX.

The last gen Demo had a similar issue with the CCDB. It appeared the yoke was inherently stessful on the shock as it was rarely if ever an issue on other bikes. In the case of be new Demo, I would think the new design would be less stressful.

I am pretty sure it is not supposed to look like that Cane creek double barrel Broken shock shaft
