I'll say this. I've never been more let down by a product then I was with my 820 saint groupset. I purchased mine in 2013 about a year after release. Here's a quick list of issues I've had:

Derailleur: multiple clutch failures, extreme wear in pivots within first year resulting in enough slop to cause 2 gears to vaporize

Brakes: cracked the Pistons in both calipers more then once, seals in my front lever failed, inconsistent modulation and bite point, I had fluid penetrate the inter layer of the line and cause bubbles between the layers..

Two years in and the only thing that was original was the shifter. I've had probably twice as many park and shuttle days on my guide rsc and x01 dh groupset without any issues. I bought the saint groupset because of the issues I had seen with the early 10 speed sram groups and the elixir brakes that where common in 09-12

Hm, i rode 2 Generations of saint brakes, an still on it, zero problems. The brakes are perfect!
And they still don't need a Upgrade

They're honestly waaaaay better. The old Guides were honestly a mess. Seizing, part failures, seeing dudes sitting there with ice packs on their levers. Sad shit. The new ones are in a different league entirely. We went from refusing to stock them to basically selling nothing but them.

How can you tell between the old style and new style?
Looking to replacing my Zees on my Fuzz

I'm torn on the headtube gusset.
On one hand it is too much
On the other hand it's totally badass.
