A bit of "special needs" footwear would indeed round it off nicely

It's true lol. They're not everyone's cup of tea. I love them, personally, but i could see how they can be funny looking. They are very light and comfortable, and I bought 'em on super sale so I couldn't pass on them. My current 5.10s were in need of retirement.

I am going to give them a whirl when they are on sale, just the job for the winter months,
just need to work out what kit is going to match them lol

Got a bit of a bodge project I'm thinking about that might be feasible based on some limited googling.

I currently have a 2011 Fox 40 RC2 (26" and coil). Would I be able to swap on 27.5" lowers (this I'm pretty sure is all good) and a newer air spring instead of the coil?

And more of a just personal opinion on DH shocks since I'm doing a frame swap soon. Would you rather have the added adjustment of a CCDB Coil and deal with the shittness of having to send it away for service? Or have less adjustment and easier service of the Vivid R2C shock?

Reasonably priced and available service beats just bout any feature in my opinion, unless they're cheap enough to just buy two, and always have one to spare for when the other is away for service.

On a related topic, TIL that in Europe the majority of MTB apparel sales are full kits, where as in North America (and the UK apparently) full kits aren't the norm.
I kinda like the full kit look, I dunno. That said I ride in a 'beater and DH pants 90% of the time.

Enjoying the spring dirt on the Norco Sights.

Been real quite... I got my wrist X-Rayed and found two fractures In my left forearm spanning 3” and 4”. I’m told I can still ride just “don’t do anything stoopid”

In the meantime I got this puppy. 91 k5 Blazer, 1/2 ton 5.7 350 not a spot of rust, not a tear in the seats. Perfect condition other than the paint for 26.
