The lift access has to be good too... I have a place that's only 30min from my house but if I get 1 to 2 days in a year that's more than enough for me.
So my enduro bike is more than enough even though it is on the stouter side of a build.
I'd argue that aside from Monster Mile, Washy is better on an enduro rig anyhow
True the enduro up there last year I never felt under biked except monster mile. I wish they had more trails like that up there but I am probably not the market they are after.
The easier the trails the more people will get up there and ride....
A 50Km up by Idaho Falls called Spitfire, and one 50Km down on Antelope Island outside of Ogden called, wait for it...... Antelope Island Fall Classic.
All of my other rides the orbea is more than enough my only gripe is the brakes but that's about it the only thing that I've found unrideable is not because of the bike because I REALLY don't see the line to go down that obstacle
I'll be riding the bikepark maybe once or twice a month during the year
And for all your other rides are you happy on the orbea? Or is there more riding you could be doing if you had an Enduro bike?

Hey guys, not sure if you remember me but I spotted your usernames whilst browsing the forum. We used to ride Octane One voids a few years ago. I'm looking at getting a new bike and thought I'd have a browse on here

Hey man! I remember your bike!
DJ bike again or looking to get a trail/enduro bike?

I think your two options are:
1) Keep the Orbea as your daily trail bike, upgrade the brakes and then get a beater DH bike for park days. Probably something aluminium and 1-2 years old.
2) Sell the Orbea and then buy a mid-long travel enduro bike that you use for everything. You can probably get a good spec if you're only going to have one bike instead of two. It might also be cheaper to only have one bike to service and maintain in the long run.
Depends on a lot of things like -> Will an enduro bike be overkill for your local trails? Will you enjoy riding a ~160mm travel bike on them? -> Does your local uplift/park actually warrant a DH bike? Are the trails gnarly enough that a full 200mm of travel and DH casing tires is the best thing to have? Or would a burly enduro bike handle it just as well? -> What DH bikes you can find at a good price? -> Can you get a good price for the Orbea?
If your local trails are very XC and the bike park is very DH might be best to have 2 bikes.
If your local trails are relatively gnarly and the bike park is very rideable on an enduro bike, then maybe sell up and get a 160ish travel trail bike.
