did you looked at the seat? Big Grin it's gonna be on a wall next x-mas when i buy something new

and wasn't that bad... i had food 3 times each day and moved every 2 days so no claustrophobia on small war-movie-like cells wich was my biggest fear when i saw them... the worst part is thinking about your family, you know you're ok, you know you're strong... but you never know how your family is so you start thinking "oh shit, this is gonna give my grandma a heart attack" but i'm happy that nothing serious happened when they got the news and there's no psychological shit (shitloads of hate to that rat is not a psychological problem, it's pretty normal)

fun fact... going home, i told my family that i had eat rice and lentils (google translator, don't know if right... this stuff) for 2 weeks... i wanted a burger! so after 2 weeks with commies i ate a huge burger with bacon and a coca cola... months later, i saw Iron Man and lol'd

edit: oh and you really learn that any day, life could f*ck you up so you have to live like there's no tomorrow, ride bikes every day and have fun

what really saved me was that a couple of old friends and my family had told me to talk nicely and say please, thanks, etc to every person, no matter who they are, and a history teacher that told us about Ghandi, peacefull revolution and stuff (i had to talk to the commies so it was better for me that they think i'm a nice, peacefull person who agrees with their commie shit but disagrees on the armed revolution part)

and read the burger part... it tasted like if freedom and heaven had a baby... i have to go... memories are too much for me so i would kill for a burger right now! BRB

mmmm burgers!!!!
anyhow here goes
started riding my brothers old bike some "walmart" type rigid thing with knobby tyres,
cant remember what it looked like or the name.
first full sus was similar, red walmart bike with suspension that didnt work...(broke almost everthing on it jumping it etc and when the crank snapped i gave up on that bike)
got a scott voltage around 2005 from my local shop for my birthday but had to pay half by mowing lawns (similar to this)
Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://1mg.me/?w=300&h=300&filename=2008-Scott-Voltage-YZ-0.jpg&f=Photosthrashed that bike for years and got into DH on it in the hardtail class which was my first race.
next i built my first custom build bike, a santacruz jackal, (craziest spec ever as i looked up to the freeride boys in NWD films on totems and decided i would do anything to get them)
photo
next up was my first DH bike
a jamis diablo which i loved alot!
photo
next was a corsair konig as i wanted to be a slopestyler!
photo
next up was a hardtail 4x bike nukeproof snap only owned the frame for a short while..
photo
next up was the parts of the snap became this
set for some summer missions down south 2010 double
and around the same time i got my first race bike
which changed around like so.
side view 2010 tr450 hadley mavic 721 descendant elixir rc4 sdg i fly fox 40rc2 maxxis lg1
new shiny 888 ti and chunked stem
i really was into dh alot by now and very addicted to trying to ge the best possible parts and sexyness!Wink
and it ended up like this after about 3 years of smashing her!
now with ti goodness tr450
next up was a lapierre DH 920 earlier this year (but i hated the flex in the rear end, and sizing wasnt quite what i liked )
chur seeing double
so i went back to transition!
up the hill with ti spling
and heres proof i use my bikes!
my baby all ready for a clean
Smile

another interesting fact is i added up my chainreactioncycles orders over the years!
over $8000 NZ dollars went into those bikes

Damnn. I think i've spent about 1k dollars in parts but weeks worth in pure time, by DIY, custom, painting, filing, filling in marks, quality 3m taping...etc.

Well here it goes. It starts with my first bike. A "16 Norco Bearclaw. It was actually pretty cool now that I think of it. Learned how to ride when I was about 6.

Then I got a Haro that I should have ridden more.

And then I got this rad CCM:
photo

It was pretty G. my friend got me into mtb and I rode XC on it I broke it alot and pimped it out fosho.

Then I got into "gravity" mtbing. Then I got this. Which I had for a while. I loved it.:

During all that, I got this from a old buddy for cheap. I got new bars, rear shock, seat, stem and pedals for it. And put on my old BB5s.
photo

Then I got some new brakes for it:
photo

Then I put an Elixir on my P.Grom:
dirt jumpin bike

THEN I got this frame and built it up in time for Whistler. The bike got raped in Whistler

.
reign getting built.

Then there was the final version on this:
P.Grom update.

Then my buddy gave me this. Her name was natasha:
natasha

Then I got a BMX to jib around on:
My ugly ass-DK Cygnus.

Then I got near to the final version of my Reign:
My bikes.
New rims are on

Then I got it alllmooost finished and got a normal chain for the BMX:
Updates. Rawed valve on fork and new tires. Bad lighting. Bad pics.
updatez.

Then the Reign was in slope mode for a while (with new cranks):
made it more sloap for now.

Then I finished the Reign! (kinda):
Attempted to edit a photo of my bike.
Now trying to sell it/the frame. The guide has also been hacksawed a bit.

And I'm currently building this sketchy bike up. Has a pike now. Das it.
Hustler.

And here's my XC bike. Cause why not make this post even f*cking longer?
Offroad Proflex 720
Aww yiss.

Note that I've had many of these at the same time. I currently have the Proflex, Reign X, and Hustler.

Before I write my story I think we should all post pictures riding on our bikes, to show how we evolved together with our bikes hehe, I'll take the liberty of doing so.

1) I first went to our local trails on my brother's haro ex1

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcRWgAxtw7TflFf5OpqcwgAALCpwXE0pg2k-qOqC8eV2EeKd7hgVMgw7dxgx

The funny part about this is that it was a size xL, and I was about 1.6 mts tall hehe, this led to many over the bar falls

2) After that I built up my own dh hardtail, which was a generic frame, suntour duro forks winzip mechanic disc brakes, and mostly crappy pieces.

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://sphotos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/188941_1003603615437_7249_n.jpg
I also hit the first "big jump" on this bike hehe

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://sphotos-f.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/207471_1053067612006_7175_n.jpg
3) Still the same bike but upgraded pretty much every single part on it, this is about halfway through:

Marzocchi z150 forks, rear hydraulic brake, etc. I spent most of my time doing street during this time.

4) Still same hardtail, but with good pieces, rock shox pike 2007 forks, slx cranks, xt front brake, etc.

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://sphotos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/38229_1522145978672_5978344_n.jpg
Unfortunately I can't find any pictures of the bike alone, but you get the idea. I began riding more downhill again.

5) I broke my collar bone 3 days before this bike arrived! I can't begin to explain how much it sucked, had to wait 3 and a half months before I could ride it.

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://sphotos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/163006_1746812715200_2384673_n.jpg
went to a couple of races on this bike

Began riding a lot of downhill

this is what it looked like before I sold it

6) My favourite bike ever, I can't begin to tell you how much I love it, and would only consider changing it for something that I could use to climb more (but that will only happen if I get badly injured or something haha!)

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://sphotos-c.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/323822_4339585332895_581140204_o.jpg
don't have many pictures riding it as it's been a pretty busy year, but I kind of like this one

Thanks for sharing.

And yeah that REALLY does suck...breaking your collarbone right before your bike arrives lmao. I would of just said f' it and rode anyways.

good idea! i'll post riding pics from my 1st kona because i don't have anything older

1st "big jump" was like 2 meters high and 6 meters long

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/526_37542563811_9227_n.jpg
when i was into urban DH type of things, still on the kona but with a 888 (good old italian 'zocchi)

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/21842_278203573811_6426207_n.jpg
building a park on the generic hardtail, just before those commie days

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/29298_396820033811_7426679_n.jpg
1st day i rode the Mob, a few weeks or months after the commie days (those dudes look old but they're still fast) lol

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://fbcdn-sphotos-g-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/59543_434120223811_449754_n.jpg
few months after that, 1st podium experts 4X, i organized that race because my friends said that beating the old guys wasn't enough

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/67781_446890763811_234058_n.jpg
that day, i was doing almost everything

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/68044_446887758811_6518500_n.jpg
having fun in bogota... was riding street and then the redbull mini stopped next to us and we got free redbull

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://fbcdn-sphotos-h-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/199480_10150134048798812_22981_n.jpg
then, commies got killed so i moved back to my hometown... DHing on the Mob

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/189836_10150131294618812_2388377_n.jpg
then, the saddest days of my life came, i had a GF and i wanted to take her here and ask her to get married so i sold the mob frame and the argyle and did some reservations but she dumped me for no reason so i cancelled the reservation, lost just like $200, got the marin and the 36 and started riding with a way more agressive style because riding was the only thing that made my mind clear and bullshit-free

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://fbcdn-sphotos-a-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/409518_10150514887868812_1425451169_n.jpg
then, the marin cracked and i got the kona... riding not as agressive as on the marin, but went faster by just having fun and being stupid

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/314868_10151016564363812_1541789368_n.jpg
and here i am today, riding the kona, faster than i have ever been and getting better every day

Unsecure image, only https images allowed: http://fbcdn-sphotos-b-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/484293_10151271740348812_834728935_n.jpg
