New to the bmx scene... Ride abit of street on the Yeti.. But fancy getting a bmx!
I know a little bit about the brands but not much. There are two iv seen which I like.. One is a United Recruit RN1 2013, The other is a Vandals Troop 2013!!
I know that United as a manufacturer is pretty good, But never heard of Vandals??? Is it any good and worth the money?
If you are wanting to get the best quality bike for you money, buy second hand. You'll get a bike thats twice as good, with only a few scratches and maybe a dent. But who cares, i just bought a bike off here second hand and its got the spec of probably a custom that costs around the £1000 mark, just to put things into perspective. Oh, and i wouldnt personally recommend vandal as they're not really an 'out-there' brand, but united's a good brand and i'll vouch for that. If you've got your heart set on a brand new bike, i'd recommend a fit, united or a wethepeople.
Agreed, second hand all the way. Check what's on ebay in your local area to avoid packaging costs, it might take some time stalking but you'll get a hell of a lot more bike for your money.
I went for a bike that was a new brand at the time and It payed off, vandals look pretty solid and not a bad spec. However have a look at the second hand market (as luke2214 recommended) however you are not destined to get a much better bike.
