I have a v10 on order, and the new ones come with a 157 dropout. This will obviously not work with my mavvic deemax 150 hub. I have had it in my mind to either change the hub or get the appropriate size of end caps for the hub. Any help?
dont think mavic hubs have spacers to make them 157 hope and superstar do make hubs with spacers but might be easier to sell your wheelset and buy a new one
that would work fine just buy the 135 to 142 spacers to convert the hub to 157 also any idea when your bike is due to arrive as i have one one order to and was told by santa cruz it would be around the middle of feb
yeah i done that with a superstar hub to make it 157 and it works and is alot cheaper than finding a bigger hub i will have to email santa cruz again to check when mine is due just incase as first it was jan now feb and hopefully to will arrive
I think Carbon wheels haven't been tested enough and people don't realize that the nature of Carbon = very little flex. You always need some flex compliancy in any object to prevent stress fracturing, but seems overlooked in today's "MAXIMUM STIFFNESS = BETTER".
And why couldn't SC just make 150mm drop-outs with the internal slot to hold the hub?? Seems super dumb for SC to just simply "overlook" that...so once again, it's just some new standard.
