if you go on google maps and type in puddle town forest you should see there is a road that runs a long the forest?

type this in Puddletown Forest, Puddletown, West Dorset District

then you should see the road that runs along the forest with four car parks along it, the best one is the third one down as its where most of the trails lead

Is the road you are talking about called 'Two Droves' ? You can see the name if you switch from satellite to map view:

https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Puddletown+Forest,+Puddletown,+West+Dorset+District&hl=en&ll=50.734065,-2.36824&spn=0.03053,0.066862&sll=52.8382,-2.327815&sspn=8.298831,19.665527&t=m&hnear=Puddletown+Forest&z=14

Also is it the third car park from the north or south ?

cheers

I would go from the second car park from the south end of the road and work my way anti clockwise through the forest.
