Anybody else seen how cheap sub park, majesty park and streetsweepers are going on crc?

So tempted to pick up a maj - only problem being that the colours left in stock gave my eyes cancer. Would require a respray.

Do it. It's only pigments.

Vinyl wrap it or something cool if the colours are shite.

Could just raw it as soon as it arrives and clearcoat. That would be a solution

Do something that nobody else has done: Take a torch and burn the paint off. Then clearcoat it. Could look cool.

A guy on the DJ group on bookface torched his specialized P2 frame, looked ok but not great. Also the Maj is heat traleated and not really sure how it would take the heat.

I think I'm just gonna stick with my octane frame. Looks hella ratty and beat up but still a great ride. My Spesh P.26 prototype frame is gonna be hung on my wall I think.

Should finish my bike rebuild today so there will be pics.

You could do it with steel but I would not even consider it with Alu. You would have to get it way hotter than necessary to burn the paint, if you were reasonably careful to heat the frame in large areas and constantly moving the heat you could do it. I could still see guys hammering the heat and getting spots cherry red (bad).

No tot mention the smoke from such a procedure could possibly kill you or even lead to birth defects in your children.
