Having a hard time finding a 2x9 front chain ring every one seems to be going 1x insert number. But anyway can I get some help with finding a new front chainring what is every one recommending? Cause I seen stock saints going for way to much!

are you looking just for a crankset, or a whole groupset?

I would go with a Raceface singlering:

Durable, light and bright; I've only heard good things about them, and they come in everywhere from 32 to 40. CRC has a pretty good deal on them right now.

I second any of the raceface rings. They have a handful of different ones, and the single ring is just another option. I run the race rings with their bash and haven't had any issues.

so i feel dumb just learned you dont really need the pins lol. it just helps with smoother transition. but if it isnt under a load you wont really notice it

You can get away without pins, but It can be annoying to not have them. I've set up a 3x10 with ss rings on the front. It works fine, but sometimes skips a bit when you need it to shift up.

Might go with a ethirteen or a renthal. Then need a new chain and bash guard. Chain first!

I use a 36t Shimano Deore meant for 3x9 on my 24-36-bash setup... no problem and the ring was pretty cheap.

I run 2x9 and have had good luck with RaceFace rings. I've run both 34 and 36. Both ramped/pinned. The basic silver ones. They shift well. I kept the Shimano 22.

If the chain is shifting without you telling it too, it could be the front mech.
