Odyssey 7KA and Tree straight pull hubs.
with decent spokes and set up right this would be an amazingly strong wheel build!

Wait for the Bone Deth 48 spoke wheels to come out, guessing they'll be pretty strong

yeah but 48 spoke is a lot more weight for not a lot of gain in strength

I'm not overly concerned about the weight of 12 extra spokes per wheel haha. Thinking they'll probably be my next wheels

it's rotational weight, larger hub flanges etc with the quality of materials we have now a 7ka with tree straight pull would be stronger and lighter.

Stronger than a 48 spoke wheel? i dont think so lol

Besides ive seen those tree hubs go to shit in less than a years use.

g-sport is probably your best option as long as you dont play about with them, if you dont know what youre doing then dont touch!, oh and profile and g-sport are no different price wise, a setof g-sports is still around the £230 mark

yes 7000 series aluminium is immensely strong and 36 spokes is enough after 36 rim strength is more important tensile stress of spokes in 36 is much less than sheer stress on the rim

any wheel built properly is strong as you want it to be, 48 hole wheels only seem to be stronger because each spoke takes less stress than a 36h would

I made no references to the material the rim was made of, just that 48 will always be stronger build than 36, especially if you break spokes on a regular basis, i found with any 36 spoke wheel ive had and ive broken one or 2 spokes the wheel soon went out of true, where as with some older wheel sets and my 48h propers it wasn't a problem at all.

48 spoke will always be stronger, but just not as necassery these days. i had a 48 spoke hazard hub and rim along time ago. lasted so long took so much shit was so solid every time i re built it.

As long as you have all the spokes and tensioned correctly a 36h 7ka is stronger than most 6061 48h wheels end of.

48h wheels are not really needed anymore anyway
