Hey, I own a specialized P.2 (2005) and am wondering if it would be any good for trails. Due to a recent injusry, the only activity left I can do , is bike. (not that im complaining).

My setup is:

2005 specilaized P.2 frame (2005)
2003 marzocchi Dirt jumper 2 (130 mm of travel, or 5.5 inches)
FSA pig DH headset
Holzsfeller cranks
Holzsfeller stem
Race face diabolus handlebars
Hayes MX-2 brakes (front and back)
single speed (never want gears again :evilSmile
Block 8 pedals
some king of specialized tires
ditch witch rims

PLEASE let me kow of your opinions. AND NO DOROGATORY COMMENTS PLEASE!!

Thank you,

P2urban

are you talking about trails like dirt pedalling action or are you talking about trials hopping around on things like mr.ryan leech.

1.) what do you mean "what am I doing"?
2.) what kind of swap outs, getting hydro brakes soon, but, thats all

Gears would be the most important in my opinion.

should be okay. obviously it wont be a very smooth ride and could possibly cause dammage or breakage to parts of your bike but if thats the case then you just upgrade so that they will hand the trails. i use my hardrock with drop off 1's for that stuff and its held out. go for it.

well i think it would be just fine for riding trails because i have a similar bike except mine has gears but hey that is just my personal preference and i ride everything on it i find that riding a bike like that for trails just makes you a much smother rider because you do not have a whole lot of suspension to make it feel smooth so you have to ride very well while still takeling very challenging stuff i might be able to help a bit more if you could post a picture of your bike though
