Cheers dude.

What you running across your pack of Pitch's?

Well, Pitch 1 is long gone.
I built it a few years ago and had to sell it a couple months after completion to get out of a financial scramble.
Here's the build thread:
https://www.pinkbike.com/forum/listcomments/?threadid=120002&pagenum=1

Pitch 2 was USMC's old frame.
Frame got rawed.
Fox Float 140mm/Stock Specialized rear shock.
King headset, RF Atlas bars.
XT drivetrain and brakes.
RF Chester crank with 34 tooth NW single ring.
Crossride wheels with Nevegal 2.3's

I've not found another bike that I am so comfortable on. I had a few other bikes in between these Pitches, and couldn't wait to build another one.

USMC - US Marine Corps?

Sounds nice.

I agree with you there, I've had a number of bikes, even a Norco Sight 3 Se which was amazing. But I had a blast one weekend on a friends Pitch and I was hooked, more confidence on every aspet of the trail.

A week or so later the Norco was sold and the Pitch was built.

Been fettling the spec ever since, once the Devilles go on I think I might be there!

Yeah, USMC is another user on here. He's been in the other Pitch thread. And he's a Marine.
I really miss the feel of the 55's from my first Pitch. It was just a workhorse of a fork.
I might track down another one and throw this Float on my hardtail lol.

I've just become a pitch owner today - 2009 frame, anyone know if the chain guide tabs are ISCG OLD or ISCG 05??

I got a 2011 Pitch Comp, completely standard other than Bar & Stem and pedals.

Find it very flexy and suspension isn't great. Also blown the rear shock so looking to upgrade. Don't use it much as mainly ide DH bike so don't want to spend a fortune...

So, Fork & shock upgrade, stiffer wheels I think would help too...
any ideas?

As above, lyriks up front, great forks at a good price, I ran mine on FOX Talas, Lyriks and Bos Devilles, all were great, Bos just that little bit better over all, but the Lyriks were a very close second.

As for the rear I found an RP23 did the job beautifully, but then it will depend on how hard and where you ride.

Sizing is 200mm x 54mm stroke.

If you're smashing the pants off it you might want to go coil, DHX or something similar. You can pretty much stick anything on there, so long as it's 200mm i2i you're laughing.

My 2011 Pitch Pro.

Such a fun bike to ride. Climbs well and delivers a really playful ride on the descents while still feeling burly enough to ride hard into rough terrain.

Would recommend this bike to anyone after a really versatile bike.

Can't get that link to work jimfunn

try copy & paste it? worked for me...
I have same year pitch as that one. I did have it completely standard but the original fork, shock , wheels brakes are pretty poor. The one in the link is built up with everything you would want (if a medium fits you).

Yes medium I'm needing tbh just a bit more than looking to spend I have a large frame at the moment but I feel it's just slightly on the large side

I bought a large & then swapped to a medium. I'm about 5'9 ish & its much better.
