Ok guys.

So I know I’m way beyond the point of ever seeing my product or money back but I thought it was definitely time to say something.

Don’t trust inked-up-metalhead.

I did because I’ve known him for a long while through the forums, Facebook and trusted him because he was a mod for the site a while back.

Anyway this is going to sound crazy but I’ve been chasing him for my stuff since December 2014. I bought a frame and a few bits on December 3rd 2014 and he was unsure when he would get them shipped due to family issues, I wasn’t too fussed because he had given me a good deal and I trusted he would follow though. This turned into messaging him every single month for three years (excluding a 9 month period I didn’t have internet access) which has honestly gone from annoyance to a hilarious joke on the forum back to straight up taking the piss.

I’m sorry Scott man, your a good guy, but seriously you shouldn’t be allowed to take people’s money like that.

The best bit is to be honest, it’s been that freaking long, the value of that payment has actually risen visibly with inflation lol

this would be a headsup for you guys about this user snajper2 https://www.pinkbike.com/u/snajper2/

i had to refund him 3 times he keep sending payments with different address when he knows shipping address can be changed when paying and and he left address intentionally scambled/incomplete in the note for me to ship the item to his "sister house" in newyork when he is from danmark
i talked to paypal if he files an unauthorized payment after i send the parts out, paypal will refund him money without having the parts back.

i ended up not selling to him, so deal with him at your own rish

Link to their advertisement(s) (if applicable or available) -> https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/2301597/

Reason for reporting them -> Seller refuses to acknowledge payment for item; calls me a scammer after payment has been sent

No worries if you sent as goods, just file a claim with PayPal and you will get your money back. Give them as much info as you can proving that he scammed you.

Not sure if a scam or really good price but both new accounts, both selling cubes, both profile pics look pretty much the same

https://www.pinkbike.com/u/jackrider24/

https://www.pinkbike.com/u/madmax1313/

and just found this one too. All photo info says the same stuff and the info in all the ads look the same

Less than 30 seconds after posting an ad I got what can only be an automated response from a Mississippi number asking me to respond to her husbands email. At this point it was pretty obvious what was going on, but I responded, and exactly 20 minutes later I recieved a long-winded response that looks like it was stitched together in a Python program asking me for my PayPal address, home address, and phone number. Here is the whole email:

Thanks for your response..I'm quite satisfied with the condition and
price, and I need you to understand that i am willing and ready to
purchase it right away, end the advert, consider me as your favorite
buyer. I will be paying the PayPal charges (3.4%) from my account and
will be paying directly into your PayPal account without any delay,
and I hope you have a paypal account. If you have one already, just
send me the address to send it to, which is the email address you use
for it or you can send me a paypal money request, so once i receive
the details i will go ahead with the payment through PayPal and then I
will contact my shipping company after you get the payment. I will
need your home address for it to be Picked Up by the Shipping
Company and also your phone number.
Regards

Don't have a username since they contacted me through text, but it is obvious that they are using a program to scrape phone numbers from new ads and sending responses asking sellers to email him, which in turn triggers his automated email system that likely cycles through a long list of gmail accounts. Anyways, I'm sure I'm not the only person to encounter this, but I thought I would post it here to let any mods know that there is someone doing this.
Hope I could be of some help.

How’d you pay buddy, PayPal, transfer , credit card? If you paid goods raise a dispute, if you paid credit card contact your card issuer
