Not sure what this guy's username is, but his phone number is 412-489-4227. I made the mistake of including my phone number in the ad so all communication was done via text. Here's his latest text about buying my bike, he even included a sad picture supposedly of himself holding a little girl in the hospital, nice touch:
"I am so sorry that i will be having a little change in my schedule, my Daughter had an emergency and was rushed to intensive care unit , My initial plan was for me to make the payment in person with cash but now that we have to leave the house it won't be possible that way but I already quickly arranged with my usual local shipper who will be picking it up After you have been paid and he will have it kept safe since i won't be available at home, myself and my wife we will have to keep an eye on Shelby for now My little girl needs us most this time, i will be making the purchase but my mode of payment will be a Cashier's bank check which i will call my bank to mail through USPS or UPS Two days delivery,it will be mailed out Tomorrow morning . So when you cash the check, I will call you to arrange shipment and I believe everything should go smoothly. I will need to have a name the check is payable to, an address to give to the courier (mailing address),also your phone number s! o i can give you a call when i send out the payment and the agreed price. I will plead that you remove the ad online so i will be rest assured that you won't be selling it to another buyer. I won't mind adding an extra 30$ so you can keep it for me Thanks."
Super common and typical scam here. It is really common on Craigslist.
I have reason to believe that username: Autbikes (https://www.pinkbike.com/u/autbikes/) is a scammer. He currently has two bikes for sale with the exact same pictures and descriptions as these two listings:
After texting with him it became clear that this person was not a native english speaker and thus, probably didn't write the descriptions in the ads he had posted. The phone number he listed was 3239926714. Please keep an eye out for this phone number and name in the future.
I believe these two profiles are the same person...PM's to me about buying a bike I have listed use the same wordings and basically asking for the same thing...and both are from the same area (Boulder/Longmont, CO.)
I think this may be a scammer. This same bike was "sold" to me last summer by a guy whose initials are SD (but I guess I cannot post name here), who then was listed as "confirmed Scammer" by this site. Never shipped the bike, and had paypal reverse chargers. This is the same bike (even with the Enve bar changes). He was living in Virginia Beach/Norfolk area. Seller ID now is SD133...beware.
This fella could be dodgy. I’ve been in conversation regarding his $300 2017 160mm Lyrik. Not at all interested in PayPal, excuses are staring to smell.
I hope I’m wrong, I don’t like having to do this. Can anyone can vouch for this new member?
Sent PayPal payment for frame on Wednesday (7/6), then on Sunday (7/10) seller claims his account was hacked and I should file a PayPal claim and is obviously not sending the bike.

File a claim asap, if not sooner. Why did he wait 4 days to tell he been hacked..? Sounds fishy to me.
