I'm right here not hiding, the only problem i've had on pinkbike is this guy that has multiple personalities on here, also tredz and obviously loves to spend his day hunting confrontation. I received payment the evening of oct 31 and said i would try to get it out friday nov 1 he opened a paypal claim on nov 2 on a saturday so at that point i'm on a paypal time line for the dispute which i've dealt with paypal in there timeline and shipped the bike even though he stiffed me the paypal fees. UPS tracking no 1z37x1310313360343. Some people need to get outside and live life.
I owe you an apology for calling you a jerk. I'll be a little more cautious next time.

I waited to respond directly to you because last night the tracking number didn't have any information. It now says delivery scheduled for Friday, fingers crossed condition is as described/pictured and the shop doesn't find any issues.
Your story doesn't match our texts.
You knew I was submitting a PayPal claim because they were to "arbitrate the amount [you] deduct for travel to get a box big enough". (your words). You said you were going to refund, the issue was how much I'd get back.
I can't owe you fee's because we never discussed them arranging payment and I refused to pay them when you withheld shipping.
A week later you suddenly tell me your going to ship the bike.
The point of posting here is so there is a record. done. (unless the bike ends up having seized bearings or something and then I'll be back)
I was scammed by user Suttdog24 for the set of X fusion forks he is selling, Paypal'd him the money for the forks which he never sent and ignored my private messages. link to the ad- https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/2645353/
Did you pay friends & family?
If not you can report to paypal & get your $ back.
Just a little FYI it's better to offer to pay an additional 3% to cover the paypal fee's than do friends & family. If the seller still insists even if you offer to pay the paypal fee it's most likely a scamming pos.
I paid goods and services, and paid the 3%, and got my money back. cheers though.
I didnt get a chance to built but pulled out if box to find this and a rear wheel that barely moves? Forks were sitting in a nice plastic holder, but fir some reason the rear wheel was sitting on the seat??? and has a nice big tire mark. Anyway I'll have to dig in and see what's up with the wheel either later tonight, or tommorow anfter I go get a hanger.
When I saw that tangle of chain and derailleur I thought he had just removed it and didn't even see the problem till I had all the plastic ties clipped off.
It's too bad this whole deal turned south cause it would have been nice to have gotten some new wheels ordered already... Bikes friggen heavy! Course my steel Honzo's no feather weight...
Edit/ had to at least check the rear wheel tonight, released the caliper and it spins fine. So not sure if it was out of adjustment or the brown shirts and shorts were playing kick the cardboard...?
Edit/ only Transition shop in town doesn't have the "UNIVERSAL HANGER" and the mechanic I talked to hadn't heard of it. They have maybe 8-12 full suspension Transitions for rent and don't have hangers in stock? (cause I'd assume that's a part that breaks often on rentals??) Dude takes a Smuggler to the back because he says he's gonna pull it so he knows what to look for. So I picked out some new 2.5WT's because I'm thinking if he's pulling it off the rental bike than likely he'll sell me that one. NOPE.
Not necessarily. Was there damage to the outside of the box? If yes, then maybe.
What type of packing material was used? How much was used between the bike and inside of the box? Could the bike move? Was it secured down or was there sufficient materials to prevent movement of the bike? A shipper will look at these and many other things to determine what happened.
Im the seller, glad someone sees this guy needs to create as much controversy as possible to feel important or something. This bike was shipped in a transition box which is stout compared to others , every square inch of the bike was covered in foam and zip tied you can see them lying in floor in his pic. the bike was shifted into the smallest gear which tucks the derailer in pretty tight on eagle, without a doubt it can get bent in shipping but a derailer is very malleable on purpose how could it get ripped of in shipping without the side of the box getting ripped apart and there would be damage to the bike? And release the caliper? did you bleed it, pull it off the bike? Id bet a large amount this guy ripped the derailer off himself. I would love to talk to this guy face to face.
When you agree to buy something second hand sight unseen you are taking a risk. It is your duty as a buyer to mitigate this risk and ensure that the product you are buying is what you are expecting, you can ask for additional photo's or inspection at a local shop among other things. Once you exchange funds with somebody you've entered an agreement with them, this agreement is that they will provide you with the item in exchange for your cash. A second hand item has no guarantee of condition, or warranty associated with it and is always sold in "as-is" condition unless otherwise stated and agreed upon by both parties.
You are dealing with an individual and not a business as such things taking a day or two longer is not uncommon because their life does not revolve around the sale they made with you. The seller did provide you with the product he promised within a timely fashion. The condition in which you recieved it is not uncommon for a bike thats been shipped across the country. R/D hangers often break in shipping, the binding rear calliper is also a good indication that it took a pretty good jolt. You should really stop dragging the dude through the mud he held up his end of the deal and doesn't need to be labeled as a shit person because you failed t do your due diligence.
I've had a hanger snap shipping a bike without any box damage, it happens. Just get a hanger off ebay and call it a day.
same same. Same story with a frame i bough. Courier damaged the hanger. Box was almost perfect, but somehow the hanger was hit hard. Got a brand new one for 15 £ off ebay.
