Playing devils advocate here but: 7 year old account Looks like he sold that SC without issue There are a number of people who just straight up won't deal with paypal. I had sold a a former co-workers trek madone and accepted payment through paypal, the buyer drove into a parking garage with the bike on the roof of his car 3 months after purchase, totalled the bike. Buyer filed a paypal claim claiming i sold him damaged goods, won and now I'm out 6K. Seriously f*ck paypal.
User GrtSaint72 is a scammer trying to sell a 2018 Santa Cruz Bronson CC.
I reached out to ask more questions because the price is too good to be true ($1400). The seller only accepts payment on zelle or cashapp, services that do not offer buyer protection, and is responding only to part of my questions in a suspicious manner.
My mountain bike was stolen from me last year and I am looking to replace it! This bike looks sweet! Are you able to ship to Wisconsin? I think it is pretty affordable and I can cover shipping. I want it!
My phone number is 414-213-3443, happy to chat via text if that is easier!
Cheers, Parker 23 mins ago GrtSaint72 says: Hello, yes I can. 23 mins ago GrtSaint72 says: I can send by shipping. 17 mins ago parkerlewis96 says: Sweet.
Is there anything wrong with this bike or does it need anything? What are you riding now and why are you selling it? I'll be honest, $1,400 feels like a low price point. Is there anything I need to know? What's your Paypal info?
Cheers, Parker 9 mins ago GrtSaint72 says: I don't have paypal, thanks.
I have zelle or cashapp 5 mins ago parkerlewis96 says: What is the serial number on the bike? 4 mins ago GrtSaint72 says: I can't tell you that before you pay.
Wow I just don't get how some people think anyone (who is forward and expects some open communication) would ever just shovel over the ca$h and leave it up to the obviously suspicious peep selling to do the right thing. I wonder what his reason for no local pick up would be?
I was scammed by Blushriderx but he was apparently caught. Can someone please help me understand what happens now. I did not catch him but was buying a bike : "Marin mount vision C -xm8" from him and followed everything posted in the warnings about using PayPal. I thought it was all good and made the purchase yesterday too find out today he was a scammer when I opened my inbox and or conversation was deleted. I checked PayPal immediately and I was already refunded.. What the heck happened... Am I safe? Do I need to do anything?
ohhhh nooo he tried to scam me too i reported him like a week ago as I had already been nearly been caught by a similar scam and very nearly paid,
Did you pay for the YT Decoy ?
I realised when he said the sale will be handled by my local bike shop as this is exactly what happened the first time and then it went into the whole Bike 24 Hour thing,
If you paid I believe it is fraud and you will need to go to the police

Yes, I have already paid. Contact broke off. After I reported him, his profile and all messages disappeared. I have screenshots for everything. Everything seemed ok. He tried to cheat you a week ago, although you reported him, the administrator did nothing about it and the scammer could continue to use the site, it fell on me.
If you paid via bank contact you bank right away and they can usually reverse the payment and hopefully you will hget your money back important you retain all the proof that you mentioned as they might ask to see it,
I guess PB get so much email it takes a while to proccess it or perhaps because he hadnt actually tried to scam me yet it was not clear if he was a scammer or not,
Should you be weary of recently created accounts with no post history? I am trying to sell an expensive bike but I get turned off by brand new accounts even if it is local pickup..

It’s right to be wary however some buyers may have to make an account to message you , hence the new account. Local pick up should be fine just make sure you meet in a communal place (a police station car park is always a good shout). Don’t allow any test rides or hand the bike over without payment and take a friend with you, follow the above and you should be fine
I attempted to purchase a Santa Cruz Bronson from this dude. Tolliver Is his user name. Took my money and will not send the bike or send my money back. Been in touch with Venmo and the local authorities.
