https://m.pinkbike.com/buysell/3545126/ Reporting this here… Scammer is using my photos from an ad that I posted a few weeks ago. Description is copied and pasted from Guerrilla Gravity’s website for a completely different bike.

Seems like a similar scam to previous ones
Paid via Paypal Goods and Services, Seller requests phone number and then screenshot of transaction details. I refused to give this. Also, appears that he was able to open a paypal dispute as a BUYER , and then cancel it as a BUYER as well. Not sure what purpose it serves. Anybody else know?

Yup.
They copied an ad from a 2020 listing for same bike on another site.
About the whole dispute as a Buyer - I found this on Reddit and it may apply here: "Because with payment processors (all of them!) unless you can provide verifiable proof you are right (not just your word, not emails, not images) then the buyer is considered to be the prevailing party. This follows consumer protection laws which are available in most states.
For unauthorized claims, PayPal does technical checking. If they find that the buyer did authorize the payment then they don't even bother to tell the seller--instead they just rule against the buyer. (Yes, they have ways...) For unauthorized claims, where the buyer files with their funding source (card, or bank) it is virtually impossible to win."

It does look a little fishy for that price. If you look at the sold list, he has his phone number on the trek ad. I would call him! I think he may have done the dispute to prevent you from opening one. Get screenshots of everything right away! Paypal is not that easy to deal with and the more info the better for you..

Once a PP case is cancelled, PP cannot reopen it. So if they open and close it, it looks resolved on PP end. Not sure how they are doing this if you didn't give them the screenshot of purchase. It you did screenshot your PP receipt, I know it shows the last four digits of the bank account. Perhaps that info and your phone number is what they use to impersonate you at PP.

If a seller requests this it is a SCAM.
Ghost the seller.
Go directly to Paypal and open a dispute - work to get your money returned.
If you reply with "I'm not going to send you a screenshot" or whatever that will only serve to trigger a response from the scammer to make getting your money back harder.
I paid an invoice through PayPal to tommyjacko for a 2021 santa cruz hecler 8 e-bike still listed on this site. When I purchased it, you could click on his name and it showed his history in the posting. Since paying him a couple of days ago, the posting is still up, but I've gotten no response from him at all after several emails sent back and forth due to PayPal not originally letting me pay the invoice he sent me. Now when clicking on his name on the add, it goes to a google can't find page instead of pulling up his info. I've already filed a claim to Paypal to cancel and get money returned. Can you tell if this seller is legit????? posting address is https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/3540843/
Clearly a scam https://www.pinkbike.com/buysell/3546156/
Another account hacked.
Looking at past sold items I noticed that the phone number is off on the last digit compared to the latest current bike for sale.. These scammers are really working pinkbike .. I still don't understand how they can steal others profiles.
