I want to report a scammer selling items here in Buysell. The user is thefoxinthebox.pinkbike.com and the ad is www.pinkbike.com/buysell/3587697.

Beware of user thefoxinthebox. I purchased a XO group set he has listed and once payment was completed, he failed to send any shipping info. He also quickly erased the conversation after payment and is ignoring all requests for refund. I did inform him that I have screen shots of all conversation and he put the conversation back up but again is not replying to any requests. He has multiple items for sale so BUYER BEWARE....

Looks like scammer thefoxinabox has deleted his PB account. I’m sure he will be back under a different name but for now he’s out. Thanks to all who responded, the attention worked. I know everything he was listing so I plan to keep an eye out.

Did you manage to get his PayPal ID? They might be deleting and recreating PB accounts but PP accounts may remain same.

Had me send to an email address chrisquinn714@gmail.com Payment receipt email came up as anthonypretot2@hotmail.com Opened a dispute only with PayPal, since they are closed, and they denied and closed the claim already. Hopefully calling will help on Monday.

I know you're supposed to wait 5- days, but this is a clear cut scam is progress on an active FS post, so hopefully it helps prevent someone else from getting caught.

Agreed. I messaged about the following post. They responded at first, even sending an address to meet at. But, wouldn’t answer questions or send the serial number of the bike. Then they blocked me.

Another brand new seller who's willing to ship globally!

A good question to ask would be will they pack the bike themselves? Do they have previous experience with it? Which courier will they use to ship the bike? Etc.
