I have a question for those that are experienced with EBB'S, such as the Problem Solvers EBB, Beer components EBB and so on.

I am looking to convert my 2013 Trek Superfly AL Elite that has a BB92 bottom bracket (46mm shell diameter, 92mm width with bearings pressed into the frame) on a Shimano XT crankset (24mm dia spindle, Hollow tech II, 2013) to a singlespeed for the winter, I have been riding 1x10 for 8 months, and use a fixed gear Masi to commute quite a bit; such that I am tempted to try singlespeed on my 29er.

The problem is that I cannot find any EBB that is said in stone by the manufacturer that it can be used on a BB92 frame, and what would stop me from using a Problem Solvers EBB with longer bolts to span the longer bottom bracket shell? The only problem I see with that idea is the issue that the expanding shim wont be able to expand enough to provide a strong clamp onto the bb's inner face.

Thanks for your input!

I would be interested in this, but don't think it is possible.

There is no room for an EBB in the BB92 frame design. You will have to go with a rear mounted chain tensioner like a Surly Singulator.

That won't work either - the bearings sit inside the frame at full width.

Just use a chain tensioner in place of your rear derailleur. Cheap and easy.
