Garmin / Strava integration question
Currently I have my TF linked to my Garmin so that it imports the jump data (albeit horribly inaccurate but I do like seeing I jumped 15m)
My Garmin also links to my strava account.
Both are processed immediately which is awesome but I generally only edit the ride log info for Strava, ignoring the details for TF.

If I link my Strava (as well as my Garmin) to TF, will TF import 2 rides or automatically know the Strava is the same as the Garmin?
I don’t want to connect it and have it import 1200 rides.

Maybe if it allows dirtbikes assume it allows ebikes. Frustrating as a paying customer how inaccurate the ebike layer is. Maybe start by merging all the dirt bike layers with ebike layers

Is it possible to show surrounding trails when adding trail reports?

At least on mobile, when I add trail reports it only shows the single trail on the little map.

In new or unfamiliar spots it can be hard to remember the name of the trail, but it makes it easier if you can see what's around it.

Or in dense trail areas, there can sometimes be a lot of generic trails with no name, "connector" etc. That's even harder to tell which one is which, when adding report.

The problem is if you click the trail link, it'll goto the trail details page which shows the same map. If you then click the map, it'll show correctly BUT when you click back to go finish the report, it'll erase everything you've already typed for other trails.

For example:

It is all a user database, if you find mistakes, please make the corrections to the best of your knowledge.
Use a browser on a computer and do the trail edits (recommend watching some how-to videos first) if you know which trails are not correctly described.

@Canadmos

the single report form page shows nearby trails.

Your screenshot is the ridelog reports form. Clicking a trail name on that page should open the the trail page in a new browser tab?

If you use that ridelog reports form on the desktop, there is a mal that floats in the bottom right of the screen helping identify the trails. No space to do this on mobile.

On my phone, which is where I add 99% of reports, it doesn't do this. I usually bring up my ride log and then click the add reports button, rather than finding my computer and bringing it up that way. Plus doing one by one sucks when you're in a dense area where you might right 20-30 different trails.

Hi, just a suggestion. I am able to tag a ride log as a 'Race' using the TF app but cannot see a way to filter ride logs that have been tagged as 'Races' or really any other reason to tag a ride as a race. Can a feature be added that provides a way to filter ride logs that have been tagged as a 'Race'? It would also be interesting to see some sort of race stats on the ride logs stats view - if possible. Thanks,

Good point! We will add a filter.

There doesn't seem to be any way to mark an issue reported in a trail report as "fixed". Is that correct? Sometimes I scroll through my area to see if there's any work that needs to happen, but I have to dig into each reported issue to try and suss out if any work has already been done. It sucks to trudge in with tools only to have the log already removed or whatever. It'd be great to treat those sort of like support tickets with a comment thread and a "mark as fixed" status type of functionality.

Isn't that what a followup "all clear/green" status report is for?

Adaptive bikes

I'm glad to see some progress being made and including adapted bikes within trail forks. For example, now when I create a ride log, I can identify that I used a mountain adaptive bike. However, when I post photos, I cannot select adaptive bike as the type of activity. Anywhere that bike types are being used for activity types are being used, we need to have adaptive bike or adaptive biking included. Thanks!

One of the reasons why we need this is that some adopted bikes are considered mobility devices like wheelchairs, and that are legally allowed anywhere where you can walk. E bikes or mountain bikes may not be allowed in such places.

I think I was imagining the ability to just see a current punchlist for an area, for example. If I go to trail reports, filter for yellow/amber and a region, it shows me every yellow/amber report since the beginning of time. Sometimes I just have a couple hours where I'd like to go take care of a couple things, and so it'd be cool to be able to be able to quickly know what needs to be addressed.

As you said, I can dive into each trail to see what the current status is. Just thinking about simple ways to bring that up a level to avoid looking under too many rocks.

You could try out the Status page for a region and then sort by the trail status column. It'll bring the yellow/orange/red statuses to the top. There's also some filter buttons at the top.

Like this...just need to sort the status column.

You can filter the reports by "active". Only the MOST RECENT report on a trail is active.
https://www.trailforks.com/region/south-march-highlands/reports/?viewMode=table&status=99&activitytype=1&active=1

We might work on some sort of more complex issue flagging system one day, but @Canadmos is correct, the way it works now, is if there is a newer report showing status=green, that's how to clear it.
