Hi guys! I'm going g to replace my bottom bracket and want to make sure I will use right type of grease for it. Also soon I will restore my whole bike which is wfo9 by niner 2013 model. I ride hard in different conditions and my bike gets lots of dirt on it. Should I use anti-seize for bottom bracket? What about freewheel ? And what type of alcohol do you guys use to clean parts from grease?
The best mountain bike use I have found for copper grease is to put a thin film of it on the back of the brake pad to lubricate the pad to piston joint.
I would suggest loctite blue for rotor bolts, shock bolts and frame pivot bolts.
For stuff like a bottom bracket, pretty much any grease should do the trick. Phil Wood water proof grease has been used for decades on bikes, you cannot do wrong with it.
