Not trying to thread jack, but I have converted my Electra Moto to something like a monstercross(?) and was wondering what options I have for the twist shifter.

How many gears and what derailleur? Both Shimano and Sram have options.

Barcon + lots of fiddling is probably going to be your best bet.

I got the thick slicks pretty cheap. Like $35-$45 each.

It's called a "bike bracket" or "handlebar extension" on amazon. It's like putting a dashboard on your bike. You can throw flashlights, phone carriers, cameras, gps. I assume it is for those guys who do looong rides. I just needed something I could put my shifter on. Eventually I'll get a Bar end shifter to make it cleaner.

Got my new steed today.

Went for the 650b road plus wheel/tyre option. Will be able to fit a 2.0" tyre in looking at the space left over form these 47mm tyres. Choices!

Nice! I fit my bike with a set of 42c Soma Cazadero tires which are the biggest tires I could fit in my Sam Hillborne, I kind of wish I could have fit 50c, but I guess you can't have everything. I really dig these tires though!

My bike currently, I just realized it looks pretty much the same as when I posted it a few pages back, but whatever.

Bonus rock ride shot just for fun.
