10 speed crank on a 9 speed drivetrain

I want to upgrade my cranks to a shimano zee crankset but they only make the zee cranks for 10 speed drivetrain and i have a 9 speed drivetrain. Would i be able to put a 10 speed crank on a 9 speed drivetrain?

I don't think it 'wont work' with other speed casettes to be honest, maybe wait for someone else to confirm for 2014..
but I've had 3 of previous years and run them with 7, 9 and even single speed so I reckon it will work

I'm pretty confident that the inner chain width on 9 and 10 speed chains are basically the same. So yes I say it will most definitely work.
