Cant say much about riding an older dh bike cause mine is fairly new. But i do rock an old school gsxr1000 2002. Most people dont say shit cause when the bikes just sitting they notice there is wear on the tires all the way to the edge cause i drag knee around turns and when im movin its usuallly on the rear wheel only. Any which way i let the riding speak for the bike!
Epic dude I have a 2006 gsxr 1000 and still think it's one of the best and I have just bought a 2006 Norco a line As I'm getting back into downhill...always been a specalized man (2 big hits and a demo 9) and wanted summing bomb proof and always fancied a Norco aline so when a mint one turned up I had to have it...just hope.its as good as the big hit and demo was...

Because you like to know where your sport has come from? History is great.

Theres some beauts in here right enough...... what classifies as older nowadays?

To me my 2011 Yeti 303r-DH is an "older" bike, 26" wheels adjustable head angle between 65 and 64 gives it maybe an intermediate set of figures and is a bit of a between bike. But hey I love her so I will share!

Final red bit gone all colour co-ordinated now and looking more like I want her to. Now just to get an angle headset and make her 2deg slacker.

My Old 2007 Trek session 10 died on me, I swapped the majority of parts over to a 2010 Giant Glory frame in a custom colour... 26" wheels still go round and round...

Sweet ride. I have one too. I can't remember if it is '11 or '12. I set it up as a single speed. It is super fun. It doesn't get ridden as much as it once did, but I love having it in the quiver to bust out every once in a while. I didn't think it was "older" enough for this thread.

I think a minimum requirement to be considered old school should at least be a decade

I mean, the thread was started by a guy with an 8 year old bike. Maybe 8 years is a good minimum??

TBH, I wouldnt call a bike an old school bike if it was made in the 2010's
