YT Capra Owners

Before I ripped down my Nomad (M) and threw the parts on the Capra (M) I took a couple measurements. Tip of the seat to the end of the handlebar = 58cm. The tip of the seat to the bolt on the front of the stem = 49.2cm. When I measured the same distances on the Capra I came up with the same results. I'm size 5'9" and both mediums fit like a glove. Any taller and I would probably recommend a large.

Hello again Graeme..... I would suggest riding a Nomad first. I don't think your 222 x 69 rear Kirk will go on, but the frame would be fine with a 170 deville.

I demoed one after my Capra went back, and I was less than impressed. It had a Float X and 180 36s, but felt really harsh. The other thing was the size was well smaller than a Capra, so you may need to size up (really short toptube). Ride before you buy... if you can Smile

Good feedback - cheers! Interesting on the size comment (not bloody sizing again - aaaaaahhhhhrrggghhh!!!), at 5'10" my medium Capra feels fit like a glove, suspect anything shorter may start to feel cramped. Not being able to use the Kirk would stop me I think. Hoping to try my mate's Santa Cruz 5010 tomorrow at Tidworth and see how a slack short travel feels!
Large Nomad I would say for you. I wouldn't use the 5010 as a marker as it will feel completely different to the Nomad for sizing.

First genuine spyshot of the jeffsy found by jhome on vitalmtb

https://instagram.com/p/BCt0MicpVXA/

is that a fox 36 or 34 up front - looks like a 36 on second glance due to the rebound cap and bridge

That's just his Capra isn't it ? the one someone posted in here somewhere with a normal Capra v4L carbon brace/mount by the look of it .

Look at the proportion of the wheels - they are 29er - surely.

Go pro fisheye Camera effect me thinks and if you was trying to keep something secret I don't think you give it to Gwin to ride around on

Today My Freind gave me and another freind some jumping lessons @ Kinver (west mids). Gr8 Day, made a lot of progress.
After spending over an hr hitting a tabletop jump to get the technique we moved on to a few gap jumps, something i'd not done b4.

As y'all know jumps and speed percection on vids do no justice to how it really was (even though these were small jumps compared to whats there) but for me it was a HUGE Step up in skillz, so happy Big Grin

The jump i crashed on i kept crashing after landing .....for about 4 times, then i began to NOT crash it. LoL

@chrismcfc can you post up some bigger shots please? How about the dt hubs, are they centrelock with six bolt adapters, or six bolt hubs?

Anyone know if the pro race version comes with the 2016 version with FIT4? It just says FIT on the description of the spec, but the link to the manual goes to the 2016 version on the fork.

Can anyone clear this up?
Thanks!

Its FIT .... not FIT4

thats not a standard offering

I guess its not a FIT4
because You have both HSC and LSC ajustment on the FIT
