Hey guys,
l've been lurking here for a long time and just got my AL Comp 1.

Have a few questions if you don't mind:
1. Are the bearings in the headset press fitted? Couldn't get them to budge.
2. My reverb makes a squeaking rubber noise when going down. I don't think it'll bother me but wanted to know if anyone had something similar. It's perfectly solid otherwise. Maybe it'll wear in after a while?
3. Checked the bearings in the seatstay (the easiest to get to) to check if they were packed with grease and they were. Should I also check all other pivot bearings to make sure? A few bearings on my previous bike (Giant Trance) came bone dry from the factory.
4. I didn't get the tubeless valves with it (E1900 wheelset). Do you only get them with e*thirteen wheelsets?
Should I just get some cheap universal ones and some gorilla tape or get the DT Swiss kit (it's only 35€ but don't have any experience with their tape)?

Thanks fellas!

Yep, head set bearings pressed in. I lube my Reverb shaft with fork station lube, is lovely after that....might be worth doing that, or spraying on some silicon lube. I don't bother checking my bearings on pedal bikes, but always good practice. I just bought some Stans stick on tape to convert, is pretty cheap....

Thought so. Do you just hammer them out when replacing them and how do you press new ones in? I'll do some googling.
I did put some slick honey on the reverb shaft and cycled it a couple of times, didn't help with the squeaking though.
Let's see if it breaks in (fingers crossed).

Finally got a few pics of me capra together, mainly because i'm thinking of selling but it's very hard to find a replacement
Anyone here gone from capra to jeffsey and care to share the main differences?

Untighten the seat clamp and check if the squeaking is still there.. Some Reverbs squeak if seat clamp is too tight.

Tried that already but thanks for the tip anyway.
I did notice that the squeaking went away for a while after I had it out of the seat tube (had to do a bleed after cutting the hose a bit).

I have both and sadly hardly ever ride the Capra now. The Jeffsy is rapid and is more of a trail bike with the Capra being closer to a dh bike that pedals. For the trails that I am riding at the moment the Capra was too much bike and I felt that I was having to work harder when pedalling.
That being said, the Capra is awesome and I have kept mine for uplift days and Fort Bill.

If I was forced to have only one bike it would be the Jeffsy, sorry I know its a Capra forum.

Ok, so just received the Capra, and on the first ride, I've got this noisy creaks coming from the shock or the bearings, don't know exactly. Any of you encountered this before? What should I do (except for emailing YT, which I've already done).

Wow that's abnormal. Have you checked all bolts with a torque wrench? If you haven't already, send that video to YT -they'll help you out for sure. They like videos.
My Capra is still silent at almost a year and a half. it's made noise twice - turned out to be loose seat rails cuz I was checking the PSI on the reverb a lot for a while and last week when I thought I was done for, but it was only a loose rear axle.- my fault. Still solid and quiet. Knock wood....

After I cleaned the bike today, the sound is gone. I find it quite strange to have this creaks produced by some dirt. I've sprayed the shock and the areas around the bearings with some Muc-Off Silicone Shine.

it's winter... check he hasn't crawled into your rear shock for heat.
