The LTD Metal Capra 29 is on the YT site today. Pretty great deal and all sizes are claimed to be in stock. There are Qty 200 for USA - Qty 200 for EU. $3,599

They should really do the metal bikes with a high-end spec all the time. I'm not getting a 3rd plastic bike.

Right, Ibis will rule the market with the Ripmo AF...

Ripmo AF doesn't come anywhere near the Capra for the price and the performance. It's got a 147mm air shock for starters.

I did. Purchased from one up, using their fancy quick change spider.

I can't find the post with the bearing sizes for the 2016 Capra Al,
does someone have these on hand?
I remember it's in this thread, but the search function doesn't show the post I'm looking for.

Anyone found out about the new roller bearing compatibility on the YT capra with X2's?

https://www.pinkbike.com/news/fox-announces-new-fit-fork-dampers-and-a-roller-bearing-kit-for-shocks.html

Ive tried to contact the local supplier for the same thing but no info currently.

That should be a great tuneup for the x2 for sure

Thinking it might be pointless as there is very little movement at the top end where it would fit.
Wont work with the other mount.

Damn... I was hoping it fit the bottom mount since that's where most the movement is.

According to the product page at Universal Cycles the bearing kit is certified with the Capra, see:

Just out of curiosity, has anyone tried to put a 29 front wheel on a capra 27?

Im 177cm tall and the large feels too big for me. Quite stable and feels like it can plow but just not fun. Takes more effort to pop the front. You are better off a medium. Hope that helps.

I’m 175cm and I got a medium. I recently posted a picture of my bike above. The medium feels more maneuverable.

Anyone who bought the polished ali ltd last year.

Ive managed to bag one of the 29ers. almost the perfect build for what i want.

how does the finish hold up? not gunna invisiframe it but I'm terrible for scuffing the hell out of the top tube with my knees so i tend to wrap the top tube but not sure if there's need with no paint

The frame has a matte clear coat over the "raw" finish. It can scuff, but to me, it adds to the charm. I discovered the clear coat when I was removing the "live uncaged" that I absolutely HATE having on my bike. Big Grin

Just tell people it’s referring to the water bottle cage, that’s what I do
