Can anyone clarify what suspension upgrades can be done on a 2019 27.5 capra AL base. Specifically, is a 250x75 shock good to go without any modifications? The spec on vital mtb is 250x70 shock but my stock super deluxe clearly has a 75 mm mark at the end of the stroke. Also, can it run a 180 mm fork?

All frames are all able to use a 75mm stroke shock, there’s probably just a limiting spacer inside your shock - remove it and you’ll unlock the full 75mm stroke. As for fork, all AL frames are good to go with a 180mm fork, while the CF frames are guaranteed even for double crowns, although not sure if full 200mm travel or not (YT stated stronger headtube junction on CF frames, while the ALs don’t have this).

All you guys with alloy frames, how you like the durability/reliability?

I’ve never ridden a YT but I assume their alloy frames are just as good as anyone else's frames?

Still can’t break my 2015 AL Capra. Big hits, drops and crashes but she just keeps on truckin’. CF seatstay hasn’t been an issue either.

That’s what I like to hear!

I’m actually looking at a Tues, but there is so much more action here that I had to ask here. I figure if the Capra is durable the Tues should be too.

Can anyone tell me what size bushing to order for a fox float x2 that I’m putting on a new Capra mx. The ones that came with the shock are too big for the rear mount.

Clean AF. I'm looking for a CF 2016 or 17 frame-only if anyone has one. I want to build a second Capra with a Boxxer I acquired

I might have a ‘19 CF xxl frame available if no one buys the bike and I use the parts for next build.
It’s as new condition.
Alternatively it’ll be collect dust as an uplift bike…

Has anyone fitted a longer travel seatpost inside a Small frame? Maybe 125mm?
Any recommendation?

I’ve got a 125mm dropper on a small 2015 frame. Not insurted entirely, but the saddle is low enough for any dh-run. In the highest the saddle would be good for someone 175-177cm tall (i’m 170 and it’s juuuust a lil too high for me). Post is Racing Components, not sure what post it’s the same as, can’t find any info, bought it from Ebay several years ago and it’s been bombproof ever since! Smile

Is anyone running an O-chain on their Capra? Do you notice much of a difference?

I just went through this issue. I emailed Fox because I couldn't find M8x15mm mounting hardware anywhere, and they sent me this part number:
803-03-243

Not sure what hardware they shipped on my 2022 Core 4 with the X2, but it wasn't that p/n (has the IGUS bushings and a pin with no washers on the ends).

Good luck finding them in stock though! Beer
