Closing this thread would be a shame as it appears to be the only one on here on the subject- pretty sad for a world wide mtb forum site. Stricter moderation removing off topic douchebaggery would be a means to an end and keep it civil.

I can't be the only one on PB with an ebike. Come on guys, own up Wink

Thank you. There are plenty of ebike users here on pinkbike.

If we are going to move forward on this thread it is absolutely critical that all irrelevant and trolling comments are removed. How does moderating work on Pinbike?

Did you notice @MulallyNeko launching a custom e-DH on the front page of pinbike

This is worth a watch for anyone with an interest in how capable an e-bike is.

Brendan Fairclough
"HOW HARD CAN YOU RIDE AN E-BIKE??" on YouTube
https://youtu.be/HhOvm20QA_s

He gives his thoughts on the handling pros & cons. In short he says they turn better, are more stable, need to brake slightly earlier and jump equally as good (just different) as normal bikes.

Putting the bosch display out of the road on the drink bottle cage screws is a great idea. Not only keeps the bars clean, also keeps it away from the ground if you come off your bike.

Been wanting to mount mine under the bars using a clamp from an old bell or something for the same reason. I like the idea of mounting to the bottle cage however I actually change modes quite often through the ride...and am using my bottle holder!

I Have been riding the new Liteville 301CE Pro Ebike - it is so good - really capable, and fast !! We did 30 full runs at Rogate the other week and felt sorry for everyone pushing up as we rode up and did twice as many runs ! We ran out of juice before the battery did Smile Check out the full review by Guy Kestevan and see Southernlitevillecentre.co.uk to book a demo ride or buy ! https://youtu.be/c6bqYTsWZb4 http://www.southernlitevillecentre.co.uk/

I'm interested in a norco range vlt. But some bike parks, trails, forest service only allow class 1 ebikes. I can't any info on what this bike class is.
Is there a better way to categorize this bike

Class 1: eBikes that are pedal-assist only, with no throttle, and have a maximum assisted speed of 20 mph. Class 2: eBikes that also have a maximum speed of 20 mph, but are throttle-assisted. Class 3: eBikes that are pedal-assist only, with no throttle, and a maximum assisted speed of 28 mph.

Unless Norco started making motorbikes its a class 1.

The new bike I was waiting for, the luna X2, has been released. But the weight is too damn high.

Heavy Emtbs, and large downtube Emtbs, can kick rocks. Who is going to fill the void, with some light weight options besides the Orbea Rise?

Marin Alpine E2 is 54#. Scor 4060 is 50#.

The new fazua drive unit looks like a winner for lightweight ebikes. I don't think I'd ride the bike without its battery, but if the pedaling resistance is nonexistent, that's a big plus.

Can't wait to see some light ebike options come to market!
