Apologies if this has been covered previously;

I’m looking to build out a hardtail that’s intended for bikepacking and gravel/light trail riding, using mostly parts I’ve already got laying around from upgrading my FS. Ragley ticks all the compatibility boxes (threaded BB, Boost spacing, etc.) and the prices are hard to beat. I’d be running a 2.0-2.2 tire, 29”, and fork travel 120-130mm.

Anyone built up a Ragley with similar purpose? How’d it go? And which frames should I be looking at?

Thanks all

Hey guys, kinda long time lurker, first time poster. Thought I'd share some pics of my 2019 Bigwig,
2019 XL Frame
Spank Spike 33 Vibrocore wheelset
Maxxis "Ass-Dissector" combo, DD front, DH casing rear with Vitoria Air Liner
Marzocchi Bomber Z1 coil, 160mm, firm spring, stealth decals
Microshift Advent 9 speed 11-42, 30 tooth chainring
Chromag bars and stem
DMR deathgrips and OiOi camo saddle
Oneup 210mm dropper
Sram NX cranks (165mm, lots of BBdrop) Dub BB
Magura mt5 brakes 180mm rear, 203mm front rotors
Works Components 1* angle set (around 63* HTA)

This bike climbs better than the internet would have made me believe, I have cleaned several techy uphill sections on it that I struggled with on my more xc oriented 120mm hardtail, and it descends really well, super stable and fast. It's a lot of fun, not as "floppy" as I would have imagined on the slow stuff and just feels planted on the descents. It's heavy as hell but I don't really notice it other than lifting it in and out of the truck.

Also included a couple pics of the first death noodle I've seen this year Always a joy riding in the desert, all the sunny spots have cactus in them and the shady parts are full of rattlesnakes. Sorry if the picture quality isn't great, all I have is my phone to take pictures with and it's a horrendous pile of garbage.

Anybody running a non boost crankset on the 2020 Piglet? Getting a warranty replacement so would be good to know asap if my current stuff fits or if I should order a new crankset right now

Just ordered my Marley frame, and I’m wondering if I could fit 2.8” tires on it?

Need help! I bought a 27.5 blue pig frame. It didn’t come with a rear axle and trying to source one has me pulling my hair out! I’ve emailed Ragley and they have said that I need a 142mm x 12mm, 159mm long, M12 x1.75mm. Can anyone help me in sourcing one. The length is proving really tricky to find. Is it possible to use a slightly longer one? Completely lost!

Boost or Non-Boost?
Any Sram Maxle with the correct dropout spacing should be fine.

Just finished the build up today and took it out for the first ride.
2020 marley
First hardtail in 10 years, much more fun on the local pedaly stuff than the full squish.

I just purchased a Marley 1.0 frame, 2020. Has anyone thrown 27.5+ wheels and a 2.8" on the bike?

Love this thread. Been riding the Big Al for about a year now and just upgraded to the Big Wig frame. Going to be stripping things down, cleaning them up and converting them to the new build. Picked up a Fox 36. Should be a nice upgrade (to my bike and my back) from the Recon I’ve had on there that comes OEM on the Big Al. Will post a final build shot if not updates along the way. Ragley4L!
