I got permission to start building dirtjumps in a friend's backyard. There's an old motocross/supercross track and the jumps are a good height to build dirtjumps from. The problem is the whole place is overgrown with thick grass and weeds. Does anyone know a method how to remove the grass so I can start digging? The grass is a foot high in some places and there already grew some small trees, here's a picture:
Is the picture broken? Anyways I'd just mow the jumps and just ride the sh*t out of them with all my buds until the stuff starts dying. If your friends don't want to ride then get a weed eater and wack all the grass on the jumps. Or get a moto and keep jumping. So many possibilities!
Might not be the best solution for winter in Canada, but soil solarization has worked well for me in California. Only takes a few days if the sun is strong enough and you will be improving the soil instead of poisoning it. http://www.ipm.ucdavis.edu/PMG/PESTNOTES/pn74145.html
