Anyone have a clear picture of wheel offerings right now? My goal is to pick up some new wheels, ideally 23mm+ wide and around 1475grams for the set. Carbon would be awesome. For racing xc and occasionally enduro regionally.

Enve M60 is the obvious choice, but it's expensive. Love to be in the 1400 region.

Ibis 928 is good, but it's inly 22mm wide. Current Easton wheels are 19mm, does 3mm make a big difference?

American Classic Wide Lightening looks like a good bet, but they're aluminum.

Any other ones? should I wait till spring for something I don't know about yet?

Check out Daves Wheels. He build a bulletproof set of wheels to meet your requirements and/or budget.

I know there alloy, but I've been riding on WTB i23's with Hope hubs, and I have nothing but good experiences. Carbon rims for me are just a step too far financially, but nice if you can afford it I guess.

Industry 9 Trail? 23+ inside. Under 1700 weight. You're gonna be hard pressed to find the weight you want for that price unless you build Chinese rims with really light hubs like DT Swiss.

Take a look at the new DT Swiss XR331 RIMS, just 380 grams, wide profile, you can build a wheelset around 1500-1600 grams without breaking the bank.
