build complete and as I will ride it till I get some 1x10 Hardware for my bday anyhow Smile
Rode around the block and did a few ditch hops and a little drop to get the feel of my adjustments and get things crudely dialed in. Felt really good!! Dropped more than 2kg off the weight of my frankenbike too!!

I think I am going to like this Smile better when I get some bigger brakes, stronger wheels and ZEE 10x1 setup on it in Feb

I Have since setup new wheels and a Zee 10x1 still using the BB7 cable brakes tho.
And yes still using the 2006 DJ1 forks, not XC by any strech, but I cant break them lol

I will put in an updated pic soon. If your still around squealer86 Smile

I keep getting a strange issue, my rear axel gets a little misaligned causing disk rub.
The 2001 ish VPS3 was a 10mm rear axel right? No way it was a 12mm?

I have to realign using my QR that I have damn tight almost every ride now....
I replaced the QR with a new one the other day, issue happened only once since then.

I am thinking my frame is worn out back there Frown

If it's a vps 3 it's 2000 model year. It is quick release (135mm) rear.

An option would be to switch to a bolt on axle
