that looks odd. I would see if you can get a pair of orings to cover the gap or get different caps.

they should be for a 39.98mm gap.

If you are suggesting Orings you must be thinking, like me, that the spacers do very little. I don't think it's very likely to have any lateral movement. Especially when i used the original fittings for the bottom of the shock and they are very snug. I'll look to see if i have some rings that size or even some shims i've saved from something random.

Just find some washers to fill the gap so everything is snug.

Hi guys,
somebody tried a 170mm fork on a 2015/2016 slash, how did it feel?
too slack? it is worth the extra 10mm travel?
thanks for help

I recently finished a build on my '16 Slash 7. Hoping it's going to be dialed in for some enduro races next season.

I still don't understand why people put bash guards end caps on alu cranks.

Does anyone know why 2016 Slash 8 came with a Lyrik instead of a pike?

Swapped mid season, early production runs had pikes later ones had lyriks. Probably had to do with stock issues. Kind of a bonus though, IMO

Because Trek put 175mm cranks on this thing and I don't want to beat the snot out of the ends of the crank.

Photo from last week, with messy cables and odd pedals.

Watch your cable rub from port exit into left & right chain stay, already seen it as a long term issue.
Great bike, still getting the X2 dialled in for myself

Slash 8 never came with a Lyrik. I got it as a frame only and built it up.
