'15 Trance SX - anyone have one? If so how do you like it. I'm pretty sure it's my next bike.... Hopefully later this month. I'm right inbetween a Small and Medium frame. 5'8" 29" inseam. How does the SX fit?

I haven't been on a 2015, but I test rode a Medium 2014 SX adv and was pretty comfortable (I'm 5'8" with 30" inseam). Usually with a longer torso it's best to size up. You can always get a shorter stem.

Hi there, I picked mine up a few weeks ago and I love it! Went for a medium, I'm 5ft 10 and had a large size canyon nerve am which also fitted perfect. Before that a large 2005 Sbc Enduro which I owned for 9 yrs. it's my first bike with SRAM which I am impressed with and the RS pikes are amazing.
I presume the spec is the same for the uk? The brakes are better than I was expecting too, thought I may have to put larger discs on but they are fine. The modulation is better than my last bike (also avid but bigger discs and not 4pot)

I have a 2015 trance sx. I'm 5'9" with 30" inseam and wear 33" sleeve dress shirt. I went with the medium and it felt fine in the parking lot and in the store but out on the trail it felt a little long in the air. I just picked up a easton havoc 35mm stem and it feels just about perfect. I'll be picking up some different handlebars that have a little more bend and rise.

I'm glad i went with the medium for the longer wheel base.

I am about to order one - unfortunately, I cannot try it out.

I am around 184 cm tall (6 feet, 0.5 inches). Do you think I should go for the Large size?

Hi there, I think I would go with a large if I was you, if you find it too 'long' a shorter stem is much cheaper than a smaller frame. I'm 175cm tall and my medium feels good if a little on the tight side. Got quite a few miles done on the bike now and it just gets better.

Hope this helps!

6'1" 34" inseam here, haven't had a chance to sit on one as they haven't got the bike built up yet. Does large sound reasonable or am I borderline xl territory?

I'm 6'2" and a bit and a large is fine for me. Wouldn't go XL here.

I just got the 2015 Trance 27.5 SX. Its only hit the dirt three times since I got it a week ago. Im loving it. Im 6' 0" tall with a 32" inseam. Ive always liked smaller frames so I naturally went with the medium and it seems like the perfect size. I work for a Giant Dealer and I personally would go for a Large frame if I were an inch taller. I would avoid an XL frame if you are under 6' 3".

Is anyone else running a 30t for places with extended climbs on the x1 groupset? I just ordered a 30t ring just out of curiosity.

Anyone know the approximate weight of the bike? Sub 30lbs?

Mine (L) is stock except I swapped out the stock tires for SS Rocket Ron's. With Crank Brothers DH pedals (the heaviest ones):

28.62 lbs.

Oh, I also swapped out the 32t for a 28t Blackspire...not that that's making any difference in weight.

Cool thanks. I had the chance to take one out for a spin today. Compared the L to XL and ultimately decided to go with the L.

I'm 6'4" and the XL will be here any day now. Can't wait. Had a 2014 XL trance before I sold it due to injury.

Did you change cranks to fit the 28t chainring? The X1 cranks don't come with a removable spider do they?
