Why?
Became better?

P.S. so many positive comments about DVO front and rear suspension and you swap it...

Built this from frame up that came with DVO Coil
I am not really a very strong climber, I find it tough to pedal uphill when the coil bobs plus the 170 up front .

I only had 2 rides on the X2 and can tell it's easier on the climbs

I would try and get DHX2 climb switch if I could over the float x2. That or maybe DB coil CS

So how is X2 feels on Reign? Is it worth to upgrade from stock RS Deluxe shock?

Yes, worth it.

Yes
Aesthetic wise, from non piggy back to piggy back look is an upgrade

I just don't like how the coil bob climbing up.I can honestly tell the X2 is a better climber but for me getting the right combinations of the rebound and compression is a pain, not easy. I just went for the middle click which 12 or 13 and go from there.

Thanks for input.
Is additional hardware required for X2 upgrade on Reign 2018 (Trunnion mount)?

No, just use the same hardware and and remove the bottom 2 plastic from the X2.

I have one on mine and it is very good. Small bump compliance is almost as good as a coil. Passes the drop test with no bounce, even when slammed down. I did have to send it in for a service because air had leaked into the damper, I'm hoping that it doesnt happen again, but it is something to think about, a coil would probably be more reliable.

My X2 certainly doesn’t do that but I’m running 220psi in mine. Great shock, just needs time to set up properly.

Yeah, maybe try playing with volume spacers and compression a lil bit. I used a shock wiz to get mine dialed in so it is dead on.

Hello Everyone. I am Selling my 2019 Fox Float X2 Factory in a 205x65 Trunnion. I opted for the longer stroke to get a travel boost and there are no clearance issues what so ever. Just selling to put money towards a 2019 Reign frameset. Check out my add if interested.

I had thought about that, how much did it change things?? 175mm travel?? Did you match it with a 180mm fork?? How much higher was the BB???
Did you have to do anything special to get the shock to fit the rocker??
