if you want a better solution/replacement there are several, I bought the CXP Racing dogbone w/bearings.

I second that. cxp is pretty expensive but the bike became a hard charging monster. I also trew in some offset bushings for the shock into the mix, in order to make it slacker and lower. with the x2 in the back and the 180mm '36 in the front was a miracle maker on the downs.

There's algo the IGUS solution which replaces the original bushings with a new type, a much better one.
everything is explained here in this thread if you search; refs, sites, feedback!

;D

Thanks for your help , unfortunately I don’t have enough money for the cxp racing dogbone and they have been out of stock for a while ,

I am going to get the igus bushings

What bushing from them would you recommend and also what are the dimensions as I don’t want to chance it and mess it up

Thanks

On the website for igus the options for the bushings are

Part number [. ]
Ød1 [. ]
Bearing length b1 [. ]
Outer diameter d2 [. ]
D1 tolerance bearing [. ]

What number should I enter into these boxes

Thanks

I measured my old bushings and they measured 15mm on the outside 13mm on the inside and 17 mm length , I think 15x17x15 would leave too big of a gap in the middle and be to wide to fit for dogbone

Also , is your dogbone the one that comes stock aswell with the axles

Hello, I don't use my old dogbone anymore as I've changed to the CXP, but as far as I remember the IGUS 15x17x15 that is mentioned fitted perfectly on the stock one! And that's what everyone on this forum bought (I copied from them;D)

On page 39 or 40 I saw someone else said that 15x13x15 worked so I’m not sure

Those are the measurements, do you think I should order 15x13x19

Do the bushing that I would buy from igus 15x17x15 replace

The metal piece in blue or one in red ?

I have only been replacing the one in red as I though that was what worn down

Also how would you get the piece o blue out as it is unbelievable tight on the dogbone but the one in red just slides out

It is suppose to be tight. Some of these bushings/bearings and stuff like that are meant to be pushed and pulled by specific tools (bearing tools) so, sometimes you can do it by hand because there's enough room, but most of the times it doesn't.
Blue ones are the ones being replaced by the IGUS (in yellow below)
The rest you keep it.

Anyway, took some pictures for you.

Thanks very much , I actually ordered bushings from feinting cycles a while ago but only replaced the bushings that moved so I have the other ones left over , I’ll try to replace the other bushings now Smile

Any tips on getting them out

you need proper tools to do it correctly; bearing tools are the answer.
