Looking at buying a troy lee a1 are they any good. They look good and meet safety regs but what do you think?

Haven't used one personally, but I hear they got hot. And try one on before you buy it, helmet fit is crucial to your safety

I have nothing but praise for the a1. Couple months ago I landed on my head off a 5 foot drop to concrete. No head trauma at all. Had to buy a new one but that's expected.

Sounds like it's worth its weight in gold

I ended up getting a bell super as I wanted the most coverage possible. I am really happy with it and fits my head bang on but obviously different heads different shapes. Had a couple crashes and it's always stayed put
Mates say their A1 is a nice fit and not heard anything bad

Got one myself. Very comfortable to wear, but as has been said, does get pretty warm.

Although I am due a hair cut, that could be part of the issue.

Got one last year (CRC sale had it for £40), really comfortable helmet with good coverage. Would say it'd be worth it even if I hadn't got a good sale price on it Smile

Its a very very comfortable lid though does collect sweat like a sponge on a hot day. protection seems good though and if you can get one at a good price its well worth it.
