Does anyone have experience with rim widths on 29ers?

Would an upgrade from 19mm to say 24mm internal be extremely noticeable?

I currently ride 19mm internal width Easton EA90XC wheels. My tires are all 2.2 – 2.35. Usually riding Ralphs for XC racing and Nobby Nics for fun. Bikes are Tallboy C and a Highball C.

I would think so. The tire will have a better profile and the sidewalls will have less tendency to roll on a turn.
Wider rims allow you to run lower pressures, which increases contact patch and traction. If you are running these bigger tires at lower pressures with the wider wheels, I think you will notice big time.

One of the best upgrades you can make.
