Converting my 27.5 hardtail to singlespeed (photos to follow) and wondering what gear ratios you lot would recommend. Mostly used for bike parks, so nothing too high. Any advice?

I have a 36 by 14 on my 27.5 DH bike and it's a bit heavy on flat but seems just right while descending.

NS Eccentric Evo 27.5 Alu with Rohloff tensioner (32x17 for now). Very playful and fun.

So I played around with this. I currently have 32-15, 30-14 is equivalent, same with 34-16. This was easy enough to muscle up the return trail but also enough to grab gear when hitting the fastest jump trail. I also considered have say the 30 paired with a 14/15 in the back and I could just set up the tensioner to line up with the right gear for the trail I was riding that day (I have an SB1 tensioner)

Or you could add a 24 or 26 granny to the front and just lower it by hand and you wouldn't have to adjust the tensioner.

Pretty stoked on my current setup! Its a Jeffsy CF frame (27.5 XXL) with a 170mm Zeb. Tweaked the brake routing to make it possible to barspin. Slapped it all together with an Alfine tensioner, which worked perfectly, though I have not been able to really put it through its paces due to heavy rain recently.
