Hi Guys,TREK has release Stache 9 29+ mountain bike, wanna use this mountain bike, but anybody else has some thread of 29+ 50mm wide carbon mtb rims, anyone has use it?
I rode one a couple of times last month at Treks HQ in Wisconsin. I immediately fell in love. I'm going on my new Stache maiden voyage ride today. It's that best handling bike I've ever ridden.
A few months back I built up a Carver Gnarvester aluminum and used 50mm carbon rims from LightBicycle. I built the Carver because I'd been riding a Krampus the last couple of years as a single speed and Loved! It...but it's heavy, so I was looking out for an aluminum 29+ frame... the Carver frame is great and I got a carbon fork from them as well, carbon bars and post and bontrager chupacabra tires. The hope hubs aren't crazy-light, but I've always liked then and built my new wheels with them. I'm very happy with the quality of the rims and the service at Light Bicycle is very good
