I have a Zee m640 rear derailer that is almost exactly 1 year old. It was pretty stuff when I got it, it was pretty right. But after a year, it seems to have gotten significantly less stiff. If feels like the spring is loosing tension, and that the clutch is no longer providing the friction it should.

Is this normal? Is there anything I should be doing to maintain this thing? I'm hoping a clutch job on a derailer will be easier than a clutch job on my car ;-)

I had the same problem a while back on my zee. What you need to doo is tighten the clutch. This video helped me when i did it https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=wV6W4PKDUrU

Hope this helps
