Goodness, thanks for posting with part #s! Can you tell if the stockers were wore out? Where is the best place to buy?

No problem! The stock were fine for the most part but some of the inner races where they meet with the pivot shaft were rusted so I cleaned them up and repacked them to keep as spares. The small silver enduro max bearings are actually double raced so they have 2 rows of balls. I'm hoping they will stiffen the pivots up a little.

You can get a kit here

Are all the pivots ok? They look good in the picture.
Also do you need a bearing press to remove and fit the bearings in the scout?

All pivots were perfect, just needed cleaned up. I'm gangster and made my own "press" using a vice and sockets. Need to have a large set and a big vice and you should be good. Just take your time and it will work. For the lower seat stay I used a punch and tapped the inner race. The spacer sleeve has a notch on one side to get to the inner bearing race.

I was enquiring about bearings to Nik at Captiv Bikes. Gravesend
Transition ones are £35 but out of stock.
Enduro ones are £85.
Apec3 Quality ones are £50.
Think i'll use the later

Interesting about the bearing P/Ns did you look at what PNs came out? My seat stay pivots have the wrong P/N bearings installed according to the transition spec sheet. 63802 vs just 3802. 3802 has a double row of bearings while 63802 is only single.

Transitions site is correct, this is a upgrade bearing from enduro. Same dimensions just the double row of bearings. I am hoping this will slightly stiffen the rear end.

Did some pivot maintenance myself and "fixed" one of the aesthetic problems I've had with this bike since day one, the blue pivot hardware. Had a local shop strip and re anodize the hardware black. Huge improvement in my opinion.

Yea that looks real good. mbc you can strip yours down as well to raw, that would be an improvement.

EDIT: the blue ano only looks great on the black frame!

Yeah, I'm super lazy outside of riding. I will do something about the looks of mine eventually. I'd like to spray the whole thing something other than the tennis ball yellow. Not sure what to do. Kinda waiting to see if TR does carbonz.
