I am strongly considering purchasing this bike from my LBS. I love the Race Face bits and internal cable routing. I can't find any info regarding the wheelset. Does anyone know if they are tubeless? The website says " Rims
Wheeltech Inferno 23 by SUNringlé" and my LBS says they ARE tubeless but I'm not so sure...

Mine is a 2014. You make the conversion yourself like I did. Use some rim tape and the milk stuff to make em tubeless. You got to make sure that your factory tires are tubeless ready. Otherwise, you'll need to buy a new set.

The Sun Inferno 23 rims are indeed not "tubeless ready" but can be converted relatively easily as dominic123 suggested.

HOWEVER, based on the experience one of my co-workers had with that conversion on his 750 T-Bolt, I wouldn't recommend running tires wider than around 2.2" tubeless on these rims if you are riding aggressively. He rolled 2.3-2.4" tubeless tires off several times landing at less than perfect angles before he upgraded his wheelset. I have been running the Inferno 27s on my Altitude tubeless with better results, for whatever that's worth.

I have ran 2.3 High rollers2 for several months now. Ride them at 23(r) and 20 psi up at the front. Never had any issues so far.

i have the same bike, i did a oneup 10spd conversion, swapped the rims to a spare set of WTB Frequency i25's and put a Pike on it (160mm reduced to 130mm). there's not much this bike can't handle now.

Just bought the 2015 Thunderbolt 750 (the non ride-9 version). Wondering what's everyone's experience with upgrading the fork to 130 or 140? Can it be done on this non ride 9 version? I ride mostly trail... No so much XC. Would of gotten the BC edition if i had the $$$. Thanks!

Yes you can, see my post right above yours Big Grin

I ride it on the north shore and it can handle everything but the gnarliest trails. Its not the lightest though with the Pike and the beefy frequency rims it checks in at 30lbs

I put a 150mm Revelation on mine from the 120 Manitou (on my 710)... It's fine, love it.

Right on!! Thanks guys, got the bike last week and have yet to take it out for a ride (untimely flu). I'm pretty set on upgrading to a 140mm fork, just waiting for the right deal to come up on the buy and sell or at my LBS. Just got a dropper post too... Can't wait to hit the trails. Cheers!!

Has anyone run an internal dropper post on their non carbon TBolt? I'm wondering if it will work ok with the routing.

Kind of a long shot...

Has anyone mounted a Fox shock with an Evol / Corset air can? I'm wondering if the larger diameter body would contact the frame when the suspension cycles. Looks like it might be kind of tight.

Would $1400 for a 2017 Thunderbolt 750 be considered a good deal?

New or used? New, definitely a great price if it has the factory spec Fox 34 etc. Used, decent deal depending on the condition and such.
