Those eewings look like they were made for that Surface Ti.
For the question around Rootdown on XC, I would say it depends on where you ride. I find mine is long and hard to turn through tight technical stuff, and more work going up, but I still reach for it when I _should_ take my Trek Superfly... the Rootdown is just more fun.
For those out there who have cut down their seat tube on a Rootdown, how much did you cut off and how did you do it to make the cut is clean as possible?
I have a large 2018 frame with a OneUp dropper and would prefer the seat to be lower. I was thinking about taking 20mm off at least.
Any advice? Thanks.
I had Chromag take about 10-15mm off when i bought my Rootdown last year so i could squeeze a bit more drop out of my OneUp V2. If you're doing it yourself i'd say worth giving them a ring to see how much exactly you could take off without impacting where the seat clamp pinches.
