Specialized Big Hit for Enduro?

Hey guys,

Found a 2010 Specialized Big Hit II on here in my price range. Really looking for a Enduro bike to ride the trails here (stuck with only a road bike). It has a single-crown 180mm fork on it.

Can I make myself an affordable enduro out of this bike or will I want to kill myself when I'm pedaling it on uphills?

There's a few guys in my group that ride bikes like that, we ride all the way up then back down. They definitely hate the uphill a lot more than the rest of us guys, but obviously love the down afterwards.
I would personally recommend against it if your looking for an enduro type bike as its not at all what it was originally intended for, keep searching IMO.
