So I got some money to spare and I really need a bike for this coming winter and 2016 season. I got 5k to spend...buy one bitchin bike or get two mediocre bike?? I really need a solid 6" AM/Enduro bike. Carbon or aluminum..it doesn't matter. I don't need a bottle cage holder on my front triangle frame and I need it an XL. I;m 6'4 and I'm a pretty aggressive rider..nothing too crazy though.
get one sick bike instead of two average ones I'd say. you'll have more fun that way as you're riding a better quality bike all the time, and less maintenance cost/time.
With 5k you can get the most badass bikes out there.Best choices would be Canyon Strive or YT Capra, dont forget to check out other bikes as well, like the Norco Range,Commencal Meta,Propain bikes got a wide variety...You can pretty much get w/e u want with that budget.

I'd expect more for that amount of money tbh!
Thats in USD not pounds, and thats a great deal for what transition gives you. Top of the line everything around a bulletproof aluminum frame. Plus its a transition, those things are made for fun. For my money, id be going there. Otherwise check out the rocky mountain altitude line.

With the current exchange rate, 5k is not "the most badass", many high end bikes are >$7kcdn.
