I have a 2014 Process 134 that I need to put winter tires on. I'm in western Washington and the trails get muddy, so I'm wanting to put something a little wider than the factory 27.5x2.25 Ardents (plus, these things suck on slick roots.
There isn't much clearance for a wide tire... I see the 2016 model comes with 2.3" tires, so I know they will fit.
Has anyone fitted 2.4" or 2.35" tires? Any clearance issues with specific tire models?
same back end as a 153 and iv had 2.4 high rollers on the back no problems plenty of clearance for mud. I'd go with a 2.35 rear minion tho great all round
I have 2.4 high rollers 3c front and back. it was like night and day going from the ardent to the high roller. I ride whistler, the north shore etc. lots of mud and roots etc
the rear tire does wear noticeable faster, but the benefits are worth it
I have a process 134. I run a 2.3 3C high roller up front and the 2.25 ardent in the back for summer. For winter I am switching to 2.3 3C front and back. Just pull the front summer tire off and put it in the back and get a new one for winter.
